The three latest options for Uflex Marine AC systems are the Compact VSD Smart air conditioning units in i10, i16, and i21 sizes (representing max BTU/h output of 10.000, 16.000, and 21.000 respectively). 

Velair Variable Speed Drive Technology

All three of these self-contained systems offer an inverter that constantly controls its speed and how much cooling power it’s delivering at any given moment (Variable Speed Drive). With a VSD system, the AC will only work as hard as it has to to keep your cabin at the desired temperature—and it will make these adjustments automatically, without any extra effort.

Once your cabin is cooled, Velair’s VSD technology can cut back significantly on its power usage—up to 40% reduction from its maximum power capacity—to maintain a consistent temperature. 

VSD inverter technology is already the optimal AC option on the market for residential settings, making it a primary choice for boat owners, now that the technology has been properly and precisely manufactured by Uflex for marine settings.

Other Velair Marine AC Features

These air conditioning systems also feature a twin rotary compressor (lower vibration), brushless DC motor, electronic expansion valve, and R32 refrigerant. The i10 and i16 models also feature a Constant Flow technology in the brushless fan.

Velair AC units also come with wall-mounted digital touch-control panel and prewired electrical box for optimal positioning, direct access to the terminal block, and easy installation. Control panels also come with a Wi-Fi module that is fully integrated with Velair’s dedicated smartphone control panel app.

The dedicated Velair smartphone app allows you to turn on the AC and set the temperature and fan speed—all before you ever set foot below deck. This is yet another feature that allows for maximum comfort and minimum energy usage.
